Yolanda O'Neill
Originally from Taunton, MA I have grown up in the northeast my entire life but took off for the midwest for my undergraduate experience. I recently graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio this past spring of 2015 with a double major in English Literature and Classics. There I spent my time combining my passions of literature and Latin where I got to create an undergraduate research project focusing on Lucius Annaes Seneca's Hercules Furens and William Shakespeare's Macbeth and work on it abroad at Miami's branch campus in Luxembourg, Europe. Also during my undergraduate experience I was an active member of the Miami University Ballet Corps and Phi Sigma Pi National Honors Fraternity. Today I continue to love to dance, travel, bake, and read as often as I can.
I came to realize I loved teaching by reaching out in the nearby communities surrounding Oxford, Ohio and helping out as a tutor in the Classics department. I had many teachers and professors who instilled a passion for their disciplines and the world around them in me and I look forward to sharing my passions and opening other gateways of discussion in the future as I step into the classroom.
