With our assessment, we did not formally grade our students until the last week as we wanted to teach them the skills and content the first two weeks in order to build up to our assignments. In regards to assessment, we should have conducted more informal assessments of students' participation and reaction to assignments and discussions, but we quickly lost track of time and logistics to conduct these. We mentally assessed our students, but did not formally track and assess until the very end. A goal of mine is to always stay ahead in terms of assessments to ensure that I can help my students grow as students as much as possible.
