Capitalism, Slavery and the Economy in Early America

This course looked at the ways Capitalism and Slavery intersected and were dependent upon each other in Early America. This lecture class included a final paper designed to have us compare social science and historical interpretations of events. My paper is posted below.

From this course I learned a great deal about the mutual dependency on Capitalism and Slavery on each other, which will be very helpful for teaching United States history to 1877. I also broadened my thinking about the class.
