This lesson plan is from the end of the summer, when we were wrapping up our unit on social movements by discussing who is included in the DREAM Act and introducing the final project.  This lesson plan is pretty typical—we start with the essential questions and objective and move into the agenda, timing out each activity.  As we plan each activity, we think about how to attend to the needs of different students in the class.  Finally, we write out the script of what we’ll say during the lesson and especially write down exactly what we want students to be doing at each point.  This lesson plan template was really useful to have in class to refer to since we made it so detailed.
