Welcome! Thank you for taking a look at my Brown student teaching portfolio. I earned my MAT in Secondary Education (English) at Brown University in 2011. During the 2011-2012 school year, I have been working as a teaching assistant at King Philip Regional High School in Wrentham, MA.
I am originally from Southern California, so it was a big change for me to move to New England for college. I majored in English and in Art History at Brandeis University and graduated in 2009.
My experience with the MAT program has been immensely educational for me in my path to becoming a teacher. My professors, mentors, and fellow student teachers have been inspiring and challenging, and I have learned an extraordinary amount in such a short time. This semester taught me a little about the true value of experience, and I am excitedly looking forward to pursuing a career as a teacher.
