As part of our unit on the Cold War, students study the Vietnam War in considerable depth. They are asked to compare multiple sources of primary and secondary source information, including: The Pentagon Papers, "The Impossible Victory: Vietnam" in Howard Zinn's A People's History, and the standard textbook account. They also use audio and visual resources in order to get a clear picture of what went on during the war. These include images like the one above as well as video clips, such as the Pinky Show:
