From July 5 to July 27, I and my teammate, Sylvia Boateng, taught a history class at Brown Summer High School (BSHS) in Providence, RI. Although I am currently a Master of Arts in Teaching candidate at Brown University, I have had seven years of prior teaching experience; yet my time at BSHS this summer was truly remarkable. Every day of teaching took me a step closer to the teacher I aspire to be, and every day of the classes I attended helped me to refine and reflect on my aspirations. This portfolio is a record of my journey.
