Ancient History Classwork and Homework for the Week of:

**11/14 /2010**

**Monday**

**Classwork:**

Students took notes on sections 6.6 and 6.7 on the Assyrians. The notes will be posted on Friday so students can complete their review sheet.

** **Students also reviewed expectations for the Moodle Project on the Mesopotamian Empires. Students were to complete step 3 for homework.

Students read Chapter 6 Sections 6.1-6.3. They took notes on their reading, which can be found here: 6.1-6.3 Notes.pdf

**Tuesday:**

**Classwork:**

Students reviewed notes on sections 6.6 and 6.7 on the Assyrians. The notes will be posted on Friday so students can complete their review sheet.

Students completed their Chapter 6 notes by reading sections 6.8-6.9 and writing the 5 main ideas of the section. Students then shared their new understandings with a partner.**Notes from 6.1-6.3. The students then independently read notes for 6.4-6.5. Notes for the entire chapter will be posted later this week.**

**Students are to complete Sections 6.8-6.9 for homework. They are also to continue working on their empire project in Moodle.**

Wednesday:

**Students completed their Chapter 6 notes by reading sections 6.8-6.9 and writing the 5 main ideas of the section. Students then shared their new understandings with a partner. All of the Chapter 6 notes can be found here:**

**Thursday:**

Students were given time to work on their Mesopotamian Project skits. Students were to check in with Mr. Quinn about the progress and see if there were any revisions that needed to be made.

**Homework:**

**Students need to finalize their skits on Moodle. Students can access their moodle accounts by visiting: http://imoodle.imgsoftware.com/kingphilip/**

**Wednesday:**

Students took part in an interactive role playing game involving real cases that asked students to apply Hammurabi's code of law. Students acted out scenes and then collaborated with their peers to determine which laws would apply to the situation.

**Homework:**

**Students are to complete the Assyrian map that was assigned on Tuesday.**

**Thursday:**

Students took notes on sections 6.6 and 6.7 on the Assyrians. The notes will be posted on Friday so students can complete their review sheet.

Students are to complete at least the first page of the review sheet. The review sheet only covers sections 6.2-6.9. Students who complete the website version will be given full credit.
