Students were given their first test back. Students then played "Back to the Future" simulation game in which they analyzed text and images to identify hominids. After identifying the hominids, they used evidence from the "cases" to defend their decisions.
Students should be studying for their Chapter 2 test which is on Wednesday. Students should also complete the Graphic Organizer found here: Interactive Student Notebook 2.pdf
Students reviewed for the test by reviewing the answers to the test prep packet distributed on Monday. Students then discussed the major differences between primary and secondary sources.

Students took the Chapter 2 test via Moodle, and web based course content management system. Students were given their grades at the completion of the assessment. After completing the test, students began working on the Preview 3 activity as well as the vocabulary for Chapter 3.
Students are to complete the Preview 3 activity for HW and define the key terms below the Preview using the Illustrated Dictionary.docx. The preview can be found here: Interactive_Student_Notebook_3.pdf
Students player the interactive Hunters & Gatherer's Game as a lead in to our discussion on the Neolithic Age. Students then reviewed the vocabulary from Chapter 3 and then read section 3 as a class. Students then answered some summary questions concerning class objectives.
Students have no homework. If they have some free time, they should read the chapter in preparation for tomorrow's class.
AH-1,3,6&7 all completed the Chapter 2 test. AH-4 reviewed for their test on Friday using a Brain Pop video on hominids and the "Back to the Future" game.
The only homework is for AH-4. They are to study for tomorrow's Chapter 2 test.
